Message from the Director
On behalf of the participating agencies that compose the PHRCFL, we are pleased to announce that the laboratory is fully operational and ready to serve our law enforcement colleagues throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. Building an RCFL from the ground up requires months of preparation and hard work. During this time, our Examiners successfully completed the FBI's elite training program sponsored by the Computer Analysis Response Team (CART). CART certification is recognized throughout the digital forensics field as being one of the most prestigious and rigorous training programs available today. As a member of the national RCFL Program, not only do we have the most advanced high-tech equipment, but we also have highly qualified, FBI-certified personnel on staff to perform examinations, conduct training, and serve as technical advisors on matters involving digital evidence.
The PHRCFL is a joint partnership between the FBI and state and local law enforcement agencies that are devoting their valuable time and resources to this important endeavor. The PHRCFL’s participating agencies include the Philadelphia Police Department; Lower Merion Police Department; Delaware County District Attorney's Office; Montgomery County (PA) District Attorney's Office, and; the Lower Providence Township Police Department. Their dedication and commitment has made the launching of the 11th FBI-sponsored RCFL possible.
The PHRCFL is here to meet the Eastern Pennsylvania law enforcement community's digital forensics and training needs. We hope you take full advantage of this vital resource, and consider joining our team by becoming a participating agency.
